I am a psychotherapist in Bowie, Maryland. My main focus is to provide a supportive environment for individuals to be heard, to be understood and to grow. I provide recovery counseling to adults, young adults and their families with various life issues using holistic and solution-focused therapeutic methods. I specialize in substance use issues which can lead to, marital issues. I train clients in conflict resolution to assist them with improved relationships with family and friends. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; and a Master of Art and Doctorate in Psychology from the University of the Rockies, Denver, Colorado. I am the CEO of nextGen Empowerment Method, Inc. – an organization whose team is deeply committed to serving the community by providing a comprehensive approach to the mental health treatment of children, adolescents and adults and serving the community through therapy, assessments, parent training, women workshops, and young adult programs.

I started in the field helping those with gambling disorders. Through the years, I have broadened my experience and education to include those with behavioral health challenges and mental health diagnosis. I offer individual therapy sessions for those who have challenges dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, gambling, and other similar diagnosis. I have worked in the “helping field” for over 20 years assisting young adults to those in the senior years. My goal in therapy is to assist the individual towards creating the healthiest lifestyle they can achieve. We will identify goals and challenges together and create a realistic plan of action.
