Our Story
To create sustainable youth development programs in rural South Georgia that expand opportunity, build leadership, and strengthen communities for generations to come.
Hand in Hand (HIH) We Stand Outreach Project is a community-based, grassroots organization founded in 2012 with the mission of empowering youth and strengthening families in rural South Georgia.
The organization was founded by Dr. Winnie "Danette" Moore, a Doctor of Psychology who was born and raised in Glennville, Georgia. Dr. Moore has long held a vision of returning to her hometown to develop sustainable youth programs that expand opportunities and strengthen communities in Tattnall County and surrounding rural areas.
HIH focuses on helping youth ages 12–18 develop the skills and support systems needed
to succeed academically, socially, and professionally.
